Uniform of Leuitenant,
Garison Artillery 1880,
This uniform is the typical Garison Artillery Officers Home
service undress uniform of the period.
The pilbox hat was worn
when not on parade, as was a white pouch and sword
belt. Being replaced with the home service helmet
and gold lace bets for formal Full dress occasions.
The tunic was converted
from a modern Royal Artillery bandsmans tunic,
by altering the cuffs, adding the shoulder boards
and applying the insignia to the collar.
The pillbox hat is from
a modern Gurkha hat.
