 Uniform of Colonel 24th Regiment of Foot /2nd Warwickshire 1879 Zulu War

This uniform is the typical Infantry Officers undress uniform of the period.

This uniform has been throughly researched, and is accurate in almost every detail.

The Trousers are current issue Grenadier Guards, which are identical.

The jacket has been made from a Double breasted blazer obtained from a local charity shop, altered around the collar and chest, with mohair braid and plaid stiched on in the appropriate design. Rank insignia was only worn by Field Officers; Majors and above

The Forage cap is a repro item from The Thin Red Line.

 

 

Uniform of Lieutenant 24th Regiment of Foot /2nd Warwickshire 1879 Zulu War

This uniform is the typical Infantry Officers undress uniform of the period. This lower rank officer is wearing the Glengarry side hat and carries his Webley Mk4 pistol in a leather holster hung across his chest.
